"The Emperor Penguin’s New Clothes" is being read in Chicago

Tuesdays at 9 Chicago is reading the first part of The Emperor Penguin’s New Clothes at the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, Illinois on July 23. In this forty-minute children’s play for a large, entirely gender-neutral cast, a conceited emperor penguin gives away all the colony’s fish in an attempt to be the best dressed animal in Antarctica. When a con artist seal and squid catch wind of the penguin’s extravagant ways, they hatch a plot to feast like kings.
