On August 16, 23, and 30, Actors’
Theatre of Columbus in Columbus, Ohio presents Modest Goddess, The Author’s
Autopsy, Cold, Dirty Laundry, and Tummy Tirade. In Modest
Goddess, a self-conscious woman wants to give her husband a sexy, but classy
portrait of herself, but is conflicted about all the body improvements the
artist makes. In The Author’s Autopsy,
pathologists determine the cause of a writer’s untimely demise. In Cold, a
lovesick lady has a plan to catch her girlfriend’s cold so she will let her
spend time with her while she is sick. In Dirty
Laundry, confessions fly after incriminating evidence is found in a
roommate’s pocket. In Tummy Tirade, a
dieting woman and her chocolate-craving stomach do battle. Each short play has
