“Checkered Past”, “Shoe-In”, “Cold”, “Shoebox”, and “Stalemate” open in North Dakota

Youth Education on Stage presents Checkered Past, Shoe-In, Cold, Shoebox, and Stalemate as part of Summer Shorts’ In A BOOMTOWN Minute. This family show runs July 7 to July 9 in Williston, North Dakota. In Checkered Past, ants at a picnic disagree about whether it is worth it to go after the human food that they crave. In Shoe-In, a short Cinderella parody, the first girl in line to try on the legendary glass slipper plots and schemes to win the crown. In Cold, a young man goes to disgusting lengths to catch his girlfriend’s cold, so they don’t have to be separated while she’s sick. In Shoebox, friends and family express their feelings through the greeting cards they send to a woman throughout her lifetime. In Stalemate, a stale doughnut and a stale cinnamon roll wonder if they’ll ever make it off the shelf. Each short show can be performed with minimal production elements and small casts.
