On May 14
through May 22, Arts Umbrella’s Junior Theatre Troupe performs Story Stew: A Fairy Tale Revue at the Theatre
and Music Expressions Festival at
Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. What if the children of the little old woman
who lived in a shoe were Jack, Jill, Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks,
Hansel, Gretel, and Mary with her pet lamb? This hour-long large-cast
children’s play interweaves familiar folk tales on a delightful romp through
Enchanted Forest locations, such as the witch’s candy house and the giant’s magic
beanstalk. The Junior Theatre Troupe playfully shares this story of heroic
adventure with plenty of twists and turns. To learn more about this
creatively-fueled festival and its young actors, visit www.artsumbrella.com. To get the script of Story Stew: A Fairy Tale Revue or obtain
